DAY 01: BAGDOGRA AIRPORT / NJP RAILWAY STATION → GANGTOK
Distance: 135 Kms | Drive Time: 5 Hrs
A warm welcome at Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station. Board your vehicle for transfer to Gangtok – “The Land of Monasteries.”
Enroute enjoy splendid views of mountains and valleys with short breaks for tea, snacks, and photography.
Upon arrival, check into your hotel.
DAY 02: BORDER EXCURSION TRIP
Approximate timing: 08:30 AM – 04:00 PM
After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to:
Tsomgo Lake (Alt: 12,400 ft) – A serene glacial lake in East Sikkim.
Nathula Pass is an optional extension at extra cost, subject to permit approval and road access.
Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial (Alt: 13,200 ft) – A revered memorial of an Indian Army soldier.
Return to Gangtok by evening.
DAY 03: GANGTOK → LACHEN
Distance: 125 Kms | Drive Time: 7 Hrs
After breakfast, check out and proceed to Lachen – “The Big Pass.”

DAY 04: LACHEN → GURUDONGMAR LAKE → LACHUNG
Gurudongmar Lake: 70 Kms | 3 Hrs | Lachung: 40 Kms | 2½ Hrs
Early morning (04:00 AM), drive to Gurudongmar Lake (5,430 m) – one of the highest lakes in the world.
Enroute halt at Thangu Village for acclimatization and breakfast.
Proceed to Lachung – “The Small Pass.”
Check into your hotel. Evening at leisure.
DAY 05: LACHUNG → YUMTHANG VALLEY → YUMESAMDONG (ZERO POINT) → LACHUNG
Yumthang: 30 Kms | 1½ Hrs | Yumesamdong: 30 Kms | 2 Hrs | Return to Lachung: 55 Kms | 3½ Hrs
After breakfast, visit Yumthang Valley – “Valley of Flowers.” A stunning sanctuary with rivers, hot springs, grazing meadows, and snow-clad peaks.

Return to Lachung in the evening.
DAY 06: LACHUNG → GANGTOK
After breakfast, check out and return to Gangtok.

DAY 07: GANGTOK → NAMCHI → DARJEELING

Return to hotel in the evening.
DAY 09: DARJEELING → BAGDOGRA AIRPORT / NJP RAILWAY STATION
Distance: 80 Kms | Drive Time: 3 Hrs
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station for your onward journey with unforgettable memories of Sikkim & Darjeeling.
Included in this option: 8 nights’ accommodation on twin sharing; Daily breakfast. Dinner is not included in these displayed rates; a breakfast-and-dinner upgrade can be quoted separately. Private transfers and sightseeing as per this option’s itinerary, on a point-to-point basis rather than full-day disposal. Local on-tour assistance.

Best time to visit & optional experiences
Spring and autumn are popular sightseeing seasons. Winter brings colder mornings and possible road restrictions; monsoon can bring rain and travel delays. Ask about a toy train ride, tea tasting or a café stop where available. These extras may need an adjusted schedule and are not included unless expressly confirmed.

Mountain journeys take longer than distances suggest. Bring warm layers, comfortable shoes and rain protection. Wi-Fi, hot water, power backup and lifts vary by hotel, especially in North Sikkim. North Sikkim excursions require prior confirmation of route access and permits; high-altitude stops must be assessed for each traveller before booking. Snow and clear mountain views are never guaranteed.
