🗓️ Itinerary Overview
Day 1 – NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport → Phuentsholing
Meet & Greet on arrival at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport. Transfer to Phuentsholing — The Gateway of Bhutan by Road. A thriving commercial center on the northern edge of the Indian Plains. Check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel Bhutan Ga Me Ga. Dinner Included.
Day 2 – Phuentsholing → Thimphu (176 kms / 6 hrs / Altitude: 2350 mts)
After immigration formalities at the Phuentsholing border (approx. 1 hour), proceed towards Thimphu. Halt at Chojum for photographs of the confluence of Thumpu Chu and Paro Chu rivers. Check in at the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay at Hotel Dralha. Breakfast & Dinner Included.
Day 3 – Thimphu Local Sightseeing
Full day sightseeing in Thimphu: Kuenselphodrang National Memorial Chorten, Folk Heritage Museum, Sangaygang Viewpoint, Takin Reserve Centre, Tashichho Dzong, and Simply Bhutan. Overnight stay at Hotel Dralha. Breakfast & Dinner Included.
Day 4 – Thimphu → Punakha via Dochula Pass (4 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Punakha/Wangdue via the scenic Dochula Pass. Visit Punakha Dzong, Chimi Lhakhang, Punakha Suspension Bridge, and Punakha Village. Overnight stay at Punakha Residency. Breakfast & Dinner Included.
Day 5 – Punakha → Paro & Paro Sightseeing
After breakfast, drive to Paro via Dochu La Pass. Visit Simtokha Dzong en route. In Paro, visit Ta Dzong, Rinpung Dzong, and Tamchog Lhakhang. Overnight stay at Udumwara Resort. Breakfast & Dinner Included.
Day 6 – Day Excursion to Taktshang Monastery (Tiger's Nest) 🐯
Early morning excursion to the iconic Taktsang Monastery — also known as Tiger's Nest. Built in 1692, Guru Padmasambhava is believed to have meditated here for 3 years. Also visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest Buddhist Temples in Bhutan. Overnight stay at Udumwara Resort. Breakfast & Dinner Included.
Day 7 – Chelala Pass Day Excursion & Transfer to Phuentsholing
Drive to Chele La Pass (3,988 mts.) — one of the least visited and most pristine areas. On a clear day, enjoy sweeping views of Mt. Jomolhari (7,314 mts.), Bhutan's second-highest sacred peak. Transfer to Phuentsholing. Overnight stay at Hotel Bhutan Ga Me Ga. Breakfast Included.
Day 8 – Phuentsholing → Bagdogra Airport / NJP Drop
After a leisurely breakfast, check out and bid farewell to the Land of the Thunder Dragon. Transfer to Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station for onward journey. Breakfast Included.
