DAY 1 : AIRPORT /PINNAWALA/ DAMBULLA (149km)
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, meet our representative anddirectly be transferred to Dambulla..
En route visits Elephant Orphanage Pinnawala.
ELEPHANT ORPHANGE
The foster – home of elephants of different age and size feeding, bathing, playing together and even mating. These have been found injured or left abandonedin the wilderness. There are even little baby calves born in captivity.
DAMBULLA CAVE TEMPLE :
Afternoon visit the cave Temple at Dambulla.Dambulla is a vast isolated rock mass and it was here that King ValagamBahu took refuge in the 1st century B.C. He later turned the caves into a rock temple. Some of the frescoes are over 2,000 years old and there is a colossal figure of the recumbent Buddha carved out of the living rock, some 14 meters long.

DAY 2 :DAMBULLA /SIGIRIYA /KANDY (80 KMS)
After Breakfast proceed to Kandy enroute SIGIRIYA .
SIGIRIYA ROCK FOTRESS:
The mighty rock face named “Sigiriya” also known as the “Lion’s Rock”; 8th wonder of the world, the rock fortress built by King Kassapa in the 5th Century AD is declared as a World Heritage site; preserved frescos add glamour to the site.Later proceed to Kandy via Spice garden at matale.
SPICE GARDEN :
For centuries, spices have been one of Sri Lanka's most celebrated exports. Spices are mostly grown in home gardens (as a home industry) and used not only to flavor food but also in medicine and cosmetics. While visiting a Spice Garden you could sample such scents and flavors as cinnamon, ginger, pepper, vanilla, cardamom and many more.Proceed to Kandy and check in at your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 3 : KANDY ( LOCAL )
After Breakfast begin a City tour of Kandy, including Upper Lake Drive (Also possible is a boat ride in Kandy Lake), Market Square, Arts & Crafts Centre, Gem Lapidary and Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.
TEMPLE OF THE TOOTH OF RELIC OF BUDDHA
Visit the Temple of the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha. This temple, the most important one for The Sri Lankan Buddhists was built in the 16th Century A.D. solely for the purpose of housing the tooth relic. Observe the magnificent Architecture of that period and experience the tranquility of the atmosphere
P.m. Visit art and craft centre and Gem Bureau where you will be shown a documentary film on how Sri Lankan Gem mining is traditionally done . End your Day with a Spectacular Cultural Show .
GEM MUSEUM
You visit the Gem Museum in Kandy.Throughout history, Sri Lanka has been known as a land of gems. King Solomon was said to have procured a great ruby for the Queen of Sheba from Ceylon. Marco Polo wrote of wonderful Ceylon gems. The Blue Sapphire is king of Sri Lankan gems. The 400 carat Blue Sapphire called “Blue Belle”, which adorns the British Crown, is from Sri Lanka. The beautiful star sapphire misnamed the “Star of India” is displayed at New York’s Museum of Natural History. Besides rubies and sapphire, the illama soil also bears cat’s eyes, alexandrite, aquamarines, tourmalines, spiels, topaz, garnets, amethyst, zircons and variety of other stones.

DAY 4 : KANDY / NUWARA ELIYA (150km)

BOTANICAL GARDEN
En-route visit the Botanical Garden Peradeniya. Which was a pleasure garden of a Kandyan King of the 16th Century and later made in to a Botanical Garden during the British regime. This gardens, one of the best in Asia is a place of beauty and site for bird watchers. Proceed to Nuwara Eliya.
Nuwara Eliya, the misty city is located over 6000 feet above sea level.
The drive will be through refreshing Tea Plantations covering the hills like carpets and cascading waterfalls to mesmerize you. En route visit water falls at ramboda.

TEA FACTORY
Visit a Tea Plantation and a Tea Factory en route. Sri Lanka being famous for its “Ceylon Tea” adding cheer to many the world over for more than a century.
arrive in Nuwara Eliya to be greeted by the fresh wintry atmosphere. Observe the well preserved colonial architecture of bungalows that were the homes of Lords, Governor's and Planters who pioneered the "Ceylon Tea" drive.( Nuwara Eliya is also known as "Little England")

NUWARA ELIYA CITY TOUR
Drive through the little town of Nuwara Eliya observing the well-maintained buildings of colonial Architecture. Visit the busy market where the tea plantation workers rush in and out with their days provisions. Visit the lakeGregory built for generating power during the British Colonial age but now a feature that adds beauty to the city.

DAY 05: NUWARA ELIYA / KITHULGALA / BENTOTA (190km)
After Breakfast Proceed to Bentota via Kithulgala.En route
SITA AMMAN TEMPLE
This Temple considered as one of the oldest is said to mark the spot where Rawana held the queen Sita captive, The streamlet that flows by the rock on which the Temple stands on is supposed to be where the queen Sita bathed. Although the story of Rama Sita and Rawana is a legendary epic poem, The evidence such as this sparks off another dimension to imagination. As a Temple much revered, many stop by and step into invoke blessings and favours from the gods.
KITULGALA
Kitulgala is little village on one of the routes between Colombo and Nuwara Eliya. The name Kitulgala derived from the word KITUL (fish tail palm) trees that grow in abundance in these parts. The KelaniRiver that flows through Kitulgala does not only beautifully the village but also attracts tourists for the white water rafting that has become so popular in it. The most important scene of blasting the bridge and train in the famous film “ The Bridge on the River Kwai” was also filmed at Kitulgala and the film site is also a site visited by many tourists. Bandara Kele a patch of nature reserve that has become very popular with bird watchers and Nature lovers.

DAY 06: BENTOTA (Local) & GALLE CITY TOUR
After breakfast proceed to Galle.
CITY OF GALLE
Galle an ancient city is today a modern and buzzing town where even International Cricket is played. It was the most important seaport way back in history, where the sea faring merchants arrived to trade and barter. This is also where the Portuguese first set foot to Sri Lankan soil in the year 1505 and later built a fortress, which was captured and fortified by the Dutch.
Visit the Galle Fortress
The fortress is one of the best preserved in the island. A visit to the fortress and to watch the sunset from the rampart is an experience unforgettable.
The oldest Protestant church in the country named ‘Groote Kirk’, which was built by the Dutch, is located within the Fort. It is situated next to the New Oriental Hotel (renamed AmanGalla) which was also built by them as Governor’s Residence in 1684.
Take a Boat Ride on Madhu Ganga River & also visit a Turtle Hatchery .
TURTLE HATCHERY
Projects have been launched to conserve the population of turtles that are reaching extinction and such projects are found along the southern coast of Sri Lanka where turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. The turtle digs a hole on the Beach, Lays hers eggs and covers it with sand where it is supposed to, incubate by the heat of the sun. What often happens is, the eggs are dug out by fisherman and sold to people who consume them.
But now the eggs are bought up by the conservation projects and are hatched the Natural way in enclosed areas where the Birds don’t have a chance of picking them up and the babies are let in to the sea after two days at night time which offers them a better chance of survival
